Unbelievable service. Waiter recommended the perfect wine for us. Food was delicious. Lamb shank and mushroom risotto were fabulous. Crème brûlée was to due for. Lovely atmosphere that made us feel very cozy. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Giving them five stars because of the wonderful experience we received. We arrived a bit early and were told our table should be ready shortly and to wait by the bar. Ordered drinks while waiting and bartender was very friendly. Table was ready in about five minutes and our server was very attentive. We ordered the escargot bravely, bc the man and I never eat it but wanted to try since the pictures looked good on Yelp. Surprisingly, we liked it and I'd order it again. Just needs a bit more salt, to me. My FAVORITE was the truffle Mac N Cheese. I killed it! The truffle was strong and that's how I Like it! The beets with the burrata dish were so delicious with the sauce it came with. Shrimp dish was second favorite. My son loved the steak and eggs dish esp when dipping the nicely cooked medium rare steak into the egg yolk. Meatballs were good but different. Probably wouldn't order again. The Bartender made me a phenomenal espresso martini and I stole my son's caramel from his mousse dessert to spread it all over the rim of my martini glass so I can have it with each sip. Now, this is where it gets better. After we finished, we went to Magnolia's and had to use the bathroom after our walk. We returned to St. Tropez to use their restroom and then ordered another round of espresso martinis. The bartender went and grabbed more caramel for me, without me even asking. I didn't know he saw me applying caramel to my glass during dinner! Thank you so much, bartender!!! A nice little gesture goes a long way!!! Definitely made my night! Nice last memory made for our three hour ride home!
Had a pleasant experience here. Love the indoor along with the outdoor vibe. The customer service was friendly and on point. We opted for the covered outdoor seating and the cover was durable enough to keep us dry from the heavy downpour. ORDERED: Mussels: it was soooooo good! I can have it all day and wouldn't get tired of it. The sauce goes so well with the bread. Poulet à la Normande: very well made and flavorful. Daube Provençale: very healthy. Perfect for a rainy weather.
Had a girls night here. 5 of us, outside table, drinks and dinner before going out on Saturday. Definitely make a reservation. Drinks were average price for WV - 18. They were all excellent tasting (see note below though). Service was great - sirloin sandwich was delicious and well priced. We were not rushed out and vibes were great. We had a great time and I will be back. Note to the restaurant -- the espresso martini was great BUT please change the design, the coffee grounds on the top were cute but they ruin the drink halfway through and get in your teeth.
Atmosphere: quaint, and simple Staff: amazing team here. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming Food: came during brunch hours and portions are great for the price and they have a good selection of wine.
Went to St.Tropez on a weekday and it was crowded! Probably because it was so good! French restaurants are not my favorite, but this restaurant changed my point of view! The wine selection is great and the restaurant is cozy and intimate. A little dark, but good for a nice date night. We had the Brie and Fig pastry that had a light side salad, the duck, risotto, mac & cheese, and steak tartare. No complaints - all the food was cooked well and the flavors were delightful. Would absolutely recommend trying this place especially people that want to try something new!
Friend and I came for a night cap after dinner-- perfect for a bottle of wine and to catch up. Wine was good -- we did not order any food. Lovely taste of France in the west village and perfect for a Saturday evening. Honestly just wish they were open later!
The interior of the restaurant is very attractive, but rather cramped and pretty loud. We actually sat outside in the heated outdoor structure, which was a bit quieter. My friend was a bit cold, but I felt that the heaters did their job nicely; even though it was 38 degrees outside, I was comfortable. There are a healthy selection of shareable plates, along with a sizable list of mains. The mains vary in size, with the fish dishes being a bit small for a full meal. Our group of four split oysters, two starters, and two desserts along with one large plate for each of us. I wasn't hungry when I left but didn't feel terribly full, either. -Oysters: absolutely excellent oyster selection. So mineralized, briny, and full of fresh flavor. -Feuillete aux champignons (Mixed mushrooms in a cream puff pastry): SO delicious. Who amongst us wouldn't love savory mushrooms with a creamy sauce wrapped in a flaky pastry? This tasted super truffle-y; not sure if there was added truffle oil or if it was just the mushrooms. -Crevettes a l'aioli (grilled shrimp, Provence herbs, sun-dried tomatoes, tarragon aioli): These were also great. I loved the creamy tarragon aioli they were paired with. I thought it tasted kinda like tartar sauce, maybe because tarragon is often used in tartar? -Grilled salmon (tomato marmalade, mashed potatoes, virgin sauce): a near-perfect crispy salmon preparation, and I appreciated the hearty helping of creamy mashed potatoes and tangy tomato jam. I was actually asked how I wanted my salmon prepared, which doesn't happen often (I had it cooked to medium, as was suggested). Nicely plated as well. -Chocolate mousse: this dark chocolate mousse was decadent and delicious. A tad more dense than some of the lighter, more whipped versions. -Tarte bourdaloue (pear almond tart, chocolate sauce) eh, I thought this was just okay. I only had one bite of this one. -I paired these offerings with affordable and tasty glasses of Chablis and Beaujolais.
A cozy and warm French restaurant with a cuisine to match. The restaurant is convinently located on a quiet street in the West Village, a perfect location for a relaxing lunch or a intimate date night. They offer indoor and outdoor seating for those who have a preference. I sat in the outdoor seating area and while it was raining outside, we were well protected and only added to the ambience. What I most appreciated about the restaurant is the pricing per entrees, appetizers and salads. Everything was reasonably priced and there was a wide array of options for all. I ordered the salmon with the delicious tomato marmalade with the escargot to start. The meal was light but delicious on your palate. The service was great and we were checked on throughout our meal. The waitress was even kind enough to take a group picture of us all as we were celebrating a birthday. I would love to come back and try the rest of the menu, as well as come during their brunch services.
